Which devices does Sideline: Spons work on?

Sideline: Spons works on PC and Mac in the browser, on iPhone (iOS) and on Android phones, such as Samsung. Get the app from the App Store or Google Play.

What does Sideline: Spons cost?

From £6.99 to £14.99 a month, depending on how many teams the club registers. No lock-in: cancel any time, and the subscription runs to the end of the period already started. In our experience the subscription comes to about 3–5% of what a typical fundraiser brings in. The team's payment service may take its own fee on top.

How does Sideline: Spons handle the money that is collected?

Sideline: Spons never handles the money. Everything collected is paid straight from the supporters to the team, through the team's own payment link. Sideline: Spons only keeps track of matches, results and what each supporter gives.

Where can we buy a subscription?

In three places:

  • On spons.sideline.no, by card through Stripe
  • In the iPhone app, as a regular App Store subscription
  • In the Android app, as a regular Google Play subscription
How do I cancel a subscription?

Cancel where it was bought:

  • Bought on the website: Settings → Subscription on spons.sideline.no (Stripe)
  • iPhone: Settings → your name (Apple Account) → Subscriptions
  • Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
What is entered by hand in Sideline: Spons?
  • Matches: added on the web or in the app by the organiser or another admin
  • Results: entered after the match, on the web or in the app, by the organiser or an admin
  • Payment: the supporter taps the pay button in the app and the team's payment app opens; the money goes straight to the team. The organiser then records the payment in Spons
What happens automatically in Sideline: Spons?
  • What each supporter gives is worked out after every match
  • Push notifications about results and recorded payments
  • A weekly email summing up the fundraiser
Can I change or pause my pledge?

Yes. Open the team in the app and go to your pledge. You can change the amounts or pause it at any time. Changes apply from the next match.

Can a group have several teams?

Yes. A group can have several teams, for example a first and a second team, with one shared code. Supporters choose whether they back all the teams or just one.

How do I delete my account?

Go to My account and choose Delete account, in the app or on the website. Read more about what is deleted on the page below.
